Love, Reg

p.s. I'm kidding--I know what Sayuri meant, and I'll write an apostrophe later

10:21 am... it's later... thus I give you my apostrophe:

Oh Apostrophe! Do cease your crying,
I cannot bear your inky stare.
Please, oh Apostrophe, do not doubt my trying.
For I have given you what effort’s fair
And I have placed my words with utmost care.
Apostrophe, my apostrophe, I wanted nothing more—nothing less—
Than you, haloed in poetic glory,
Yet, Apostrophe, I must keep repeating
My grave and sincerest apology,
My excuse the  story of  lovers folly:
For my best words were wasted on hearts still beating.

Your butterfly,
Reg
