Summer's Obsession

I actually wrote this post.  I liked it.  It was brilliant.  Blogspot deleted it by randomly switching me from being logged in as Daily Dust to being logged in as Summer.  You know what? F*** you, blogspot.  I refuse to rewrite my comment on a news event.  Did I mention F*** BLOGSPOT?!

So anyways, in my angered state I'm still going to post because Reg and I decided to post every day.  SOOO, I'm moving on to number 6 because I REFUSE to rewrite something I already wrote.  So here's number 6!

6.  Write a How To post.  Walkthroughs, tutorials and how to's tend to do very well online.

Alrighty.  Here's my How To post!

How To Be a Fangirl

1. Watch every video available on the subject of your interest.

If they're interviewed, you watch it.  If they release an MV, you watch it.  If they're spotted outside a department store, you watch it.

2.  Devote ALL Your Time To Them

If you're at home, you're on your computer searching for videos and news articles of and about them.  If you're not at home, you're listening to their songs repeatedly on your iPod.  If you're in class (iPod-less), you're doodling them or their lyrics on your paper.

3.  Get SUPER excited about everything- and I mean EVERYTHING- they do.

If they wink at the camera, scream and jump up and down uncontrollably.  If they tell a dorky joke that their friends make fun of them for, adopt it as your favorite joke and tell it AS MANY TIMES as possible.  If they have a signature laugh, practice laughing like them in an attempt to make people tell you you laugh like your obsession.

4.  Get To Know Other Fans

While, in the long run, you are all competing for so-and-so's attention, it's always best to keep your enemies close.  Join a fanclub, chatroom, forum, or comment craze (you know, when that new MV comes out on youtube and the comment section becomes more like a live-chat).  Read/write fanfiction.  Make videos about your obsession and support the videos of other fans.  Not only will this give you friends you can fangirl with, but it will also give you great resources.  You never know who's going to give you that hot tip on the whereabouts of your obsession...

5.  Think About Them On More Than A Daily Basis

Never pass a coffee shop without picturing you and your obsession on a date there.  Never see an item or product they mentioned without thinking of them and reenacting the scene of them mentioning it.  Never buy a new outfit without wondering if they would like you in it.

6.  Get SUPER MEGA RIDICULOUSLY Depressed About Not Meeting Your Obsession

This is one of the biggest requirements of a fangirl.  If your obsession doesn't know you exist, it's not just disappointing...  it's DEVASTATING.  While you're so devoted to them and comment on EVERYTHING they post on their respective social networking sites, your efforts are fruitless.  While your love is completely genuine, to them you're just another fangirl.  This should rocket you into depression so deep that there's no hope of escape.  If it doesn't, then you don't deserve to call yourself a fangirl.

So there you have it...  6 steps to being a fangirl! I hope this was helpful.

How do I know so much about being a fangirl?

Well...

I'm one of them.

Less than three,

~ Summer
